Prototyping means the design and development stipulations about the looks and behaviors of a system. Prototyping is a process of viewing the future state of a system at a glance. It is required in every type of business or product. If it is done rapidly, then the feedback can be generated very early, the final design can be improved and needs for change be reduced during the final development. Prototyping is a method which is ranged from a rough paper sketch to interactive replications that should look and operate the project. Prototyping helps teams to experiment multiple approaches and ideas. It is facilitated through discussion on views rather than words. It is ensured by prototyping that everybody shares a common view and understanding in a team about a product. It leads a whole team to design a product better and faster.

A good prototyping process includes some steps. The first step is prototype. It is referred by converting the user’s description about a product to the mock ups and user experienced standards. The second step is reviewing. In this stage the review of the end product should be discussed with the user as it meets the user’s need or not. The third step or a good prototyping is refining. In this step the areas should be selected which are needed to refined or clarified based on the feedback of user. If these three steps are followed properly then the prototyping process should be good and fast.

The prototyping is started with a small area and it goes further with multiple iterations when the required areas are built out. The rapidness in this process is very important. There are numerous factors which are needed to be prototyped. The important factors are complex interactions, new functionality, changes in workflow, technology and design. We can say that prototyping search results are better than normal search results. There are some differences between prototyping and production designing. The production cost includes the cost of manufacturing process which is not important for prototyping. The prototype specialists attempt to replace the materials with the properties.

Most often, we can find that expensive and time taken instruments are required for custom designing a product. Prototype compromises with the use of more flexible processes. Final production design may require more effort for capturing high level manufacturing details. These details are not required for prototyping process. The prototypes are created by using very small engineering details compared to the final production intent. Building a product several times can be very expensive and time consuming as well. We often make a full design, and then figure out the problems in that design, after that we solve the problems and again make a full design. It is very time consuming matter, but prototyping is very cost effective.

We can say that prototyping is the simplest way to build something. The modern trends of prototyping make the work even simpler. We do not need to create the prototypes manually, since all the works can be done in computer.
